Responsibilities
- Lead horizon-scanning initiatives to identify emerging technologies and societal shifts through 2026+
- Develop and maintain the company's future-ready innovation portfolio and strategic roadmap
- Facilitate executive workshops on scenario planning and risk mitigation for future uncertainties
- Collaborate with R&D teams to prototype next-gen solutions (AR/VR, quantum interfaces, bio-integrated systems)
- Author thought leadership publications on future trends and their business implications
- Build and manage a network of futurists, technologists, and domain experts across Silicon Valley and global innovation hubs
- Quantify future market opportunities using predictive analytics and trend extrapolation models
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic innovation, futures research, or technology foresight roles
- Proven track record of translating future trends into commercial products or services
- Expertise in emerging technologies: quantum computing, synthetic biology, neuro-interfaces, or climate tech
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or relevant technical field
- Strong network within global innovation ecosystems (Singularity University, Future Today Institute, etc.)
- Exceptional storytelling skills for communicating complex future scenarios to diverse stakeholders
- Certification in scenario planning or horizon scanning methodologies preferred
- Published thought leadership in futurism or innovation strategy
