Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 innovation roadmap using trend analysis, scenario planning, and competitive intelligence
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype and launch breakthrough solutions in AI, quantum computing, or climate tech
- Present strategic insights to executive stakeholders and boards through compelling data visualizations and narratives
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions, startups, and industry leaders to accelerate R&D cycles
- Monitor global tech disruptions and regulatory changes to mitigate risks and capitalize on emerging opportunities
- Mentor junior innovators and foster a culture of experimental thinking within the organization
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic innovation, R&D leadership, or futurist consulting with proven track record of scaling technologies
- Expertise in emerging tech domains: generative AI, synthetic biology, or carbon capture systems
- Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in Engineering, Computer Science, Futures Studies, or related field
- Proficiency in strategic foresight methodologies (Horizon Scanning, Delphi Technique, STEEP analysis)
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences
- Experience securing $5M+ in innovation funding or managing R&D budgets exceeding $10M
- Published thought leadership in tech journals or industry whitepapers
