Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging tech trends (AI, quantum computing, biotech) to forecast industry disruptions and opportunities
- Develop and maintain a 5-10 year technology roadmap aligned with organizational vision
- Lead scenario planning workshops for executive leadership on future business models
- Collaborate with R&D teams to prioritize innovation initiatives and resource allocation
- Present strategic recommendations to stakeholders through compelling data visualizations
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and research labs for future-focused insights
- Monitor geopolitical and socio-economic factors influencing technology adoption
- Mentor junior strategists in future-thinking methodologies and trend analysis
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Technology, Strategy, Futures Studies, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or technology foresight
- Proven track record of developing future-facing roadmaps for Fortune 500 companies
- Expertise in scenario planning, trend analysis, and horizon scanning methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies and their societal implications
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
- Published thought leadership in future studies or technology strategy (strongly preferred)
