Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and control systems in commercial and industrial settings.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layouts.
- Conduct routine inspections and perform preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical malfunctions efficiently.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes (NEC).
- Lead and mentor junior electricians and apprentices on-site.
- Document all work performed and maintain accurate job logs.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman Electrician License required for the State of Illinois.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in commercial or industrial electrical work.
- In-depth knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent physical stamina and ability to work in various environments, including heights and confined spaces.
- Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
