Key Duties
As an Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems. You will ensure that all work meets local and national safety codes.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and fixtures.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately.
- Ensure all work complies with local (DC) and national electrical codes (NEC).
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on electrical equipment.
- Conduct safety inspections and maintain a clean, organized work site.
- Collaborate effectively with project managers and other tradespeople.
- Document all work completed in daily logs and reports.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman Electrician License in the District of Columbia.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in commercial and residential electrical work.
- Proficiency with power tools, hand tools, and electrical testing meters.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Reliable transportation to various job sites.
