Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout and wiring of electrical systems.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure all electrical systems are up to code and functioning safely.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical issues using specialized testing equipment and logic.
- Ensure all work is compliant with local and national electrical codes (NEC) and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and other tradespeople to ensure project milestones are met.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman Electrician License issued by the State of Georgia is required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in electrical installation and maintenance.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing meters (VOM, multimeter, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of electrical theory, circuitry, and safety protocols.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and work in various weather conditions at job sites.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Current OSHA 10 or 30 certification is preferred.
