Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
- Read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to plan layouts.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes and safety regulations (OSHA).
- Conduct thorough inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or inefficiencies.
- Mentor and train apprentice electricians and junior staff on best practices and safety protocols.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Prepare accurate time logs and material reports for project management.
Qualifications
- Certified Journeyman or Master Electrician license in the state of Illinois.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in commercial and industrial electrical work.
- Strong working knowledge of electrical theory, circuitry, and power distribution.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required certifications (e.g., NABCEP, NFPA 70E).
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team setting.
- Proficiency with modern electrical testing equipment and hand tools.
