Responsibilities
- Execute construction tasks including excavation, concrete pouring, and material handling during night shift operations
- Operate heavy machinery safely (e.g., excavators, forklifts) with proper certifications
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and site-specific hazard controls
- Assist skilled trades (carpenters, electricians, welders) with material preparation and site setup
- Perform site cleanup and waste management to maintain OSHA compliance
- Complete shift documentation and daily progress reports for project managers
- Respond to emergency site conditions during off-hours with supervisor guidance
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of commercial/construction labor experience
- OSHA 30-hour certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Valid Florida driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic math skills for material measurement and inventory tracking
- Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Experience operating hand/power tools and heavy machinery preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
