Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and prepare construction materials, tools, and equipment for daily use.
- Site Support: Assist carpenters, electricians, and other tradespeople with various on-site tasks.
- Maintenance: Keep job sites clean, organized, and free of hazards to ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards.
- Tools & Equipment: Operate basic power tools and hand tools safely and correctly under supervision.
- Physical Labor: Perform digging, lifting, carrying, and moving materials as required by project needs.
- Communication: Follow blueprints and instructions from supervisors while effectively communicating progress and issues.
- Site Prep: Prepare construction areas, including demolition and basic groundwork.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform strenuous physical labor for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Experience: Prior experience in construction labor, landscaping, or general labor is preferred but not mandatory.
- License: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are highly preferred.
- Reliability: Punctual, dedicated, and willing to learn new skills in the trade.
- Safety Conscious: Understanding of basic safety protocols and the importance of wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a larger crew.
