Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, marking areas, and setting up temporary structures.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from the site efficiently.
- General Labor: Perform various manual tasks including digging, lifting, carrying, and holding materials as directed by supervisors.
- Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site by sweeping, cleaning up spills, and disposing of waste properly.
- Assistance: Support skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, etc.) with basic tasks to ensure project timelines are met.
- Reporting: Report any safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, or supply shortages to the site manager immediately.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous construction or general labor experience is a plus but not required; we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), and work in various weather conditions.
- Tools: Basic understanding of construction tools and safety equipment.
- Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions clearly.
- Availability: Must be available for part-time shifts, including weekends or early mornings as needed.
- Documentation: Valid ID and ability to work in the United States.
