Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up scaffolding.
- Material Handling: Transport, load, and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment from delivery trucks to job sites.
- Tool Operation: Operate hand and power tools safely under supervision to perform basic construction tasks.
- Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret basic blueprints, drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements.
- Assistance: Provide general assistance to skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) as needed on the job site.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by following all safety protocols and regulations.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in construction labor, landscaping, or general maintenance is preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing on feet for long shifts.
- Tools: Basic understanding of hand tools and willingness to learn to use power tools.
- Communication: Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions from supervisors and project managers.
- Availability: Flexible schedule availability, including weekends and evenings, as project demands require.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from job sites.
