Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Prepare job sites by cleaning areas, setting up barriers, and ensuring the workspace is safe and accessible.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from the site using hand trucks, forklifts, or manual labor.
- Assist Trades: Provide general support to skilled tradespeople, including framing, drywall hanging, painting, and rough carpentry tasks.
- Equipment Maintenance: Keep tools and machinery clean and in good working condition; report any issues immediately.
- Site Cleanup: Ensure the job site is cleaned up at the end of each shift, including debris removal and trash disposal.
- Measurements: Assist in measuring and cutting materials to required specifications under supervision.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and standing/walking on uneven terrain.
- Experience: Previous experience in construction or general labor is preferred but not strictly required; on-the-job training is provided.
- Driverβs License: Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are preferred for site travel.
- Safety Conscious: Familiarity with basic safety protocols (OSHA) and willingness to wear all required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and able to work in various weather conditions.
