Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and leveling ground.
- Material Handling: Load and unload building materials, tools, and equipment from delivery trucks and transport them to the work site.
- Equipment Support: Operate basic construction machinery and power tools under supervision (e.g., forklift, jackhammer, pressure washer).
- Site Clean-up: Maintain a clean and organized job site in compliance with OSHA safety standards.
- Assistance: Support skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with various tasks as needed.
- Material Storage: Organize and store materials properly to ensure project efficiency and safety.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry heavy materials (up to 50+ lbs) for extended periods.
- Reliability: Punctual and consistent work history with a strong work ethic.
- Communication: Basic ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors.
- Safety Conscious: Understanding of basic construction safety protocols and a commitment to wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Driver's License: Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle (mileage reimbursement may apply).
- Experience: Prior construction or labor experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
