Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of residential and commercial electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to plan installations.
- Ensure all work complies with local and national electrical codes (NEC).
- Install and troubleshoot lighting systems, outlets, switches, and circuit breakers.
- Conduct safety inspections and identify potential hazards to ensure a secure working environment.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Provide exceptional customer service and communicate project status effectively.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman Electrician license in the District of Columbia.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in residential and commercial electrical work.
- Strong knowledge of electrical theory, circuitry, and power distribution.
- Familiarity with power tools, test equipment, and safety protocols.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
