Responsibilities
- Perform routine plumbing maintenance, repairs, and installations according to safety codes and standards.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex plumbing issues to provide effective solutions for residential and commercial clients.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to plan project execution.
- Use hand and power tools, including pipe wrenches, torches, and threaders, effectively and safely.
- Communicate professionally with customers to explain issues and answer questions regarding services.
- Ensure all work areas are kept clean, organized, and free of hazards at all times.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is preferred; trade school certification is a plus but not required.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation are mandatory.
- Basic math skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Valid Illinois State Plumbing License (or willingness to obtain within 6 months).
- Willingness to obtain and maintain all necessary safety certifications and on-the-job training.
