Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for NISQ-era hardware optimization
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Implement error mitigation protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Lead open-source contributions to quantum programming frameworks
- Translate complex business problems into quantum computational models
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum complexity theory
- Present breakthrough findings at IEEE Quantum Week and industry summits
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (MS with 5+ years experience)
- Proficiency in Q#, Qiskit, or Cirq quantum programming languages
- Publication record in Nature/Science or top-tier quantum computing journals
- Experience with quantum error correction and fault-tolerance techniques
- Deep understanding of quantum circuit optimization and compilation
- Expertise in variational quantum algorithms (VQE, QAOA)
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
