Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum circuits and error-correction protocols for industrial applications
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing quantum-optimized algorithms
- Interface with hardware teams to translate software requirements into physical qubit architectures
- Author white papers on quantum supremacy milestones and ethical frameworks
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from DARPA and NSF
- Mentor junior quantum engineers through our fellowship program
- Drive patent portfolio expansion in quantum cryptography domains
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years hands-on experience with superconducting qubits or trapped-ion systems
- Published research in Nature/Science journals (2020-2023)
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum SDKs
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research funding
- Expertise in quantum error mitigation techniques
- Experience mentoring postdoctoral researchers
- Active security clearance (or ability to obtain)
