The Role: As Quantum Computing Architect, you'll lead system design, error-correction protocols, and quantum algorithm optimization for our 1,000-qubit processor. You'll collaborate with Nobel laureates and drive breakthroughs in materials science, cryogenics, and quantum networking.
Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum computing architectures for 2026 deployment targets
- Develop error-correction frameworks achieving >99.9% qubit fidelity
- Optimize quantum algorithms for real-world applications in drug discovery and materials science
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams of physicists and engineers
- Define quantum networking protocols for distributed quantum computing
- Drive patent development in quantum hardware innovation
- Present breakthrough findings at IEEE Quantum Computing Symposium
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years experience in quantum computing architecture or superconducting systems
- Published research in Nature/Science on quantum error correction
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and cryogenic engineering
- Proven track record leading technical teams in quantum R&D
- Strong background in machine learning for quantum optimization
