Responsibilities
- Design quantum-resistant cryptographic protocols for enterprise-scale deployments
- Architect hybrid quantum-classical computing infrastructures
- Lead prototyping of quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation
- Collaborate with MIT and Caltech on quantum error correction research
- Develop fault-tolerant quantum architectures targeting 2026 deployment milestones
- Mentor a cross-disciplinary team of quantum physicists and software engineers
- Secure patents for novel quantum computing methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years experience in quantum algorithm development or quantum cryptography
- Published research in Nature/Science on quantum computing topics
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit optimization frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mitigation strategies
- Experience with NISQ-era hardware limitations and workarounds
- Security clearance eligibility for DoE quantum projects
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum assembly languages
