Responsibilities
- Design and optimize quantum algorithms for Shor's, Grover's, and VQE implementations on superconducting qubit systems
- Develop error correction protocols using surface codes and LDPC codes to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Integrate quantum accelerators with classical HPC systems via Qiskit and Q# frameworks
- Conduct thermal noise mitigation experiments on dilution refrigerators at 15mK temperatures
- Collaborate with materials science team to optimize qubit coherence times beyond 100Ξs
- Document quantum circuit architectures in Mermaid.js diagrams for patent applications
- Mentor junior engineers in quantum machine learning techniques using PennyLane
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of quantum computing experience
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or Q# with portfolio of published GitHub repositories
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction thresholds and fault-tolerant architectures
- Hands-on experience with quantum hardware calibration using pulse-level control systems
- Publication record in Nature Quantum Information or IEEE Transactions on Quantum Engineering
- Expertise in variational quantum algorithms for NISQ-era devices
- Familiarity with quantum-classical hybrid computing paradigms in AWS Braket or Azure Quantum
