Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems in logistics and drug discovery
- Develop error-correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computing by 2026
- Collaborate with physicists to calibrate and upgrade superconducting qubit systems
- Create hybrid quantum-classical machine learning frameworks for autonomous systems
- Lead security audits for quantum-resistant cryptography implementations
- Mentor junior engineers in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Mathematics with quantum focus (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Q#)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance protocols
- Publication record in quantum computing or related fields
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and low-level hardware interfacing
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics and information theory
- Experience with cryogenic systems and microwave control electronics
- Track record of translating theoretical models into practical implementations
