Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for climate simulation and energy optimization
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and data scientists
- Secure $5M+ in government and private research grants
- Develop patentable quantum computing methodologies
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals
- Advise Fortune 500 clients on quantum adoption strategies
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years experience in quantum algorithm development
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum machine learning
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Experience securing federal research grants (NSF/DOE)
- Demonstrated leadership in managing technical teams
- Knowledge of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Strong background in climate science or energy systems preferred
