Responsibilities
- Architect and execute quantum computing research roadmaps targeting 2026 commercial viability
- Lead 15-person R&D team across quantum hardware, software, and algorithm development
- Secure $5M+ annual research funding through DOE/NIST grant applications
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Partner with automotive and pharmaceutical clients for quantum-optimized solutions
- Author 3+ peer-reviewed publications annually in Nature/Science journals
- Establish quantum security protocols for post-quantum cryptography standards
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years industry experience
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals (minimum 5 citations)
- Proven track record leading quantum algorithm development for commercial applications
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience securing federal research grants (NSF/DOE)
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit optimization frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum-classical hybrid computing paradigms
- TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain one
