Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of physicists, computer scientists, and engineers in quantum research initiatives
- Collaborate with Fortune 500 partners to develop industry-specific quantum solutions
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and present findings at international conferences
- Drive the development of quantum error correction techniques to enhance computational stability
- Secure research grants and partnerships with government agencies and academic institutions
- Mentor junior researchers and establish best practices for quantum software development
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years of research experience
- Proven track record of publishing peer-reviewed papers on quantum algorithms or quantum hardware
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and simulation frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction, fault tolerance, and decoherence mitigation
- Experience leading cross-functional research teams and managing complex projects
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and quantum information theory
- Demonstrated ability to translate quantum concepts into practical business applications
- Preferred: Prior experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
