Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems in logistics and drug discovery
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing error-correction protocols for stable qubit systems
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and present findings at global tech summits
- Establish strategic partnerships with quantum hardware manufacturers and cloud providers
- Develop ethical frameworks for quantum-powered AI applications
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from NSF, DARPA, and industry consortia
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of research experience
- Published record in Nature/Science or equivalent quantum computing publications
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Experience with superconducting qubit systems or photonic quantum processors
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research funding
- Strong background in machine learning and classical computing optimization
