Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm design and optimization for commercial deployment
- Manage multi-disciplinary teams of physicists, engineers, and mathematicians
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Secure $5M+ in annual research grants from DARPA/NSF
- Translate quantum research into patentable IP portfolios
- Present findings at IEEE Quantum Week and ACM conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Published work in Nature/Science journals on quantum algorithms
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Strong background in cryogenic engineering and superconducting qubits
- Proven track record of securing federal research funding
