Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for optimization and machine learning applications
- Design fault-tolerant quantum circuits using topological qubit architectures
- Collaborate with AI teams to integrate quantum acceleration into neural networks
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at international conferences
- Manage quantum hardware testing cycles with cryogenic systems
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
- Develop security protocols for post-quantum cryptographic systems
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum computing research with demonstrated publications
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, D-Wave)
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional technical teams
- Understanding of NISQ-era limitations and error correction strategies
- US citizenship or permanent residency required for government collaboration projects
