Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and data scientists
- Establish research partnerships with academic institutions and industry leaders
- Develop quantum error correction methodologies for scalable systems
- Drive patent development and publish high-impact research papers
- Align quantum computing roadmap with commercialization objectives
- Mentor junior researchers and foster collaborative innovation culture
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (10+ years experience)
- Proven expertise in quantum algorithm development (Shor's, Grover's, VQE)
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, D-Wave)
- Strong publication record in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Demonstrated leadership in R&D environments with team management experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Q#, Cirq)
- Understanding of NISQ-era limitations and fault-tolerant computing principles
