Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for practical industry applications
- Design scalable quantum computing architectures for enterprise deployment
- Collaborate with MIT/Stanford research partners on quantum supremacy projects
- Oversee 20-person interdisciplinary research team including physicists and ML specialists
- Secure $5M+ in government/industry research funding annually
- Develop quantum-resistant cybersecurity frameworks for Fortune 500 clients
- Publish findings in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years quantum computing research with 2+ team leadership roles
- Published work in quantum error correction or fault-tolerant systems
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Deep understanding of NISQ-era limitations and fault-tolerant roadmap
- Proven ability to translate theoretical concepts into experimental prototypes
- Active QED/CERN collaboration or equivalent high-energy physics background
