Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications in finance, healthcare, and logistics
- Lead experimental quantum computing projects using industry-leading platforms (IBM, Google, Rigetti)
- Develop error mitigation techniques for near-term quantum devices
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at premier conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and foster cross-functional collaboration
- Secure external funding through NSF, DOE, and industry partnerships
- Contribute to patent development for proprietary quantum methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing or physics journals
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Expertise in at least one classical high-performance computing framework
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and information theory
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex quantum concepts into practical solutions
- Experience with cloud-based quantum computing platforms (IBM Quantum Experience, Amazon Braket)
