Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental research on error correction techniques for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors with 99.9% gate fidelity
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical frameworks for real-world industry applications
- Publish peer-reviewed papers in Nature Physics and IEEE Quantum Journals
- Secure $1M+ in government grants and industry partnerships
- Mentor PhD candidates and lead cross-functional innovation sprints
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Applied Mathematics with 3+ years postdoc experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum error correction protocols
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing journals/conferences
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum hardware
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
- Ability to translate complex quantum concepts into commercial applications
