What You'll Achieve: Design scalable quantum circuits, optimize error-correction protocols, and publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals. You'll work in our state-of-the-art Austin facility with access to D-Wave and IBM quantum systems, contributing directly to projects that will power autonomous systems, climate modeling, and drug discovery by 2026.
Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Design and implement quantum error-correction codes for fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to prototype quantum processors
- Lead research publications in IEEE/ACM journals and conferences
- Secure $2M+ in government/industry grants for quantum initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Present findings to C-suite executives and government agencies
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information
- 3+ years of quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum frameworks
- Published work in Nature/Science or top-tier quantum conferences
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability, and complexity theory
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware systems
- Ability to secure federal research grants (NSF/DOE preferred)
