Responsibilities
- Lead research in quantum algorithms for optimization and cryptography
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical machine learning frameworks
- Design error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum gate operations
- Secure $1M+ in research grants and publish in Nature/Science journals
- Mentor PhD candidates and organize quarterly quantum hackathons
- Patent breakthrough quantum applications with commercialization potential
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Expertise in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, and high-performance computing
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research grants (NSF/DOE)
