Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead cross-functional R&D projects in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical machine learning frameworks for enterprise applications
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Collaborate with hardware teams to prototype quantum processors with >1000 qubits
- Mentor PhD researchers and drive quantum computing curriculum innovation
- Secure NSF/DOE grants for quantum computing infrastructure development
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years industry experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Quil) and quantum circuit optimization
- Proven track record publishing in top-tier quantum computing journals/conferences
- Mastery of linear algebra, quantum information theory, and quantum error correction codes
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Strong Python/C++ skills with scientific computing libraries (NumPy, SciPy)
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical models into practical quantum solutions
