Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation challenges
- Lead experiments on 50+ qubit systems using superconducting and photonic platforms
- Develop error correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into practical implementations
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at international quantum conferences
- Secure $2M+ in government and industry research funding
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent research experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum programming experience (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or algorithm development
- Expertise in quantum hardware platforms (superconducting, trapped ion, or photonic)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and complexity analysis
- Proven track record of cross-functional collaboration with engineering teams
- US citizenship or permanent residency required for government contract compliance
