Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum computing hardware prototypes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop quantum-resistant cryptography solutions
- Publish research in peer-reviewed journals and present at industry conferences
- Secure and manage research grants from government and private institutions
- Mentor junior researchers and drive quantum computing education initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Expertise in at least one classical high-performance computing framework
- Strong understanding of quantum hardware architectures (superconducting, ion trap, photonic)
- Proven track record of securing research funding ($500k+)
- Experience with cloud quantum computing platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
