Job Description
Join FutureTech Innovations at the forefront of computational revolution! We're seeking visionary Quantum Computing Research Scientists to architect the next generation of algorithms and systems that will redefine technology by 2026. Work in our state-of-the-art San Francisco lab alongside Nobel laureates and industry pioneers. You'll develop quantum error correction protocols, simulate complex molecular interactions for drug discovery, and pioneer hybrid quantum-classical architectures that solve previously impossible problems.
We offer competitive equity packages, unlimited R&D budget, and flexible hybrid work arrangements. Our mission: to build commercially viable quantum solutions that transform healthcare, climate modeling, and artificial intelligence by the end of this decade.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop quantum error mitigation techniques for NISQ-era hardware
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping hybrid quantum-classical systems
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design next-generation quantum processors
- Translate theoretical advances into patentable quantum computing applications
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum education initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Expertise in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Strong publication record in quantum computing or adjacent fields
- Deep understanding of quantum information theory and complexity classes
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing environments
- Experience with quantum hardware integration (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, or IonQ)
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex concepts into commercial applications
