Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Develop advanced error correction techniques to overcome quantum decoherence challenges
- Lead cross-functional teams in building scalable quantum processors with >1000 qubits
- Publish high-impact research in top-tier journals and present at premier quantum conferences
- Collaborate with AI engineers to create hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks
- Secure federal and private research grants for quantum innovation initiatives
- Mentor junior researchers and drive quantum literacy across the organization
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years industry research experience
- Proven expertise in quantum circuit design, Qiskit, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent quantum computing journals
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction codes and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and superconducting qubit manipulation
