Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to develop error-corrected qubit systems
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum software solutions for enterprise clients
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and present at IEEE/APS conferences
- Secure $5M+ in government and private research funding annually
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Drive patent strategy for quantum computing innovations
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience securing NSF/DARPA grants
- Strong Python/C++ proficiency with HPC optimization skills
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement and superposition principles
- Ability to translate complex quantum concepts for non-technical stakeholders
