Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error correction protocols to advance quantum coherence beyond current limitations
- Lead cross-functional research teams in prototyping quantum hardware-software interfaces
- Collaborate with industry partners to translate theoretical breakthroughs into commercial applications
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at international quantum computing conferences
- Secure federal and private funding for quantum research initiatives
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to our quantum education programs
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related quantum field with 3+ years post-doctoral experience
- Published research in Nature/Science or top-tier quantum computing journals
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and circuit optimization
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Strong background in complex mathematical modeling and simulation
- Track record of securing competitive research grants
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
