Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Develop novel quantum error-correction techniques to achieve fault-tolerant computing
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams in prototyping quantum hardware-software interfaces
- Publish breakthrough research in peer-reviewed journals and industry conferences
- Partner with quantum hardware teams to validate algorithm performance on next-generation processors
- Secure federal and private funding for quantum computing initiatives
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to patent portfolios
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years postdoctoral experience
- Proven track record in quantum algorithm development and quantum circuit design
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and classical HPC frameworks
- Strong publication record in Nature/Science journals or equivalent
- Experience with quantum hardware integration (superconducting, trapped ion, photonic)
