Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Develop error-corrected qubit architectures at 5K mK temperatures
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Publish 2+ peer-reviewed papers/year in Nature/Science journals
- Secure $1M+ in DoE/NIST grants for quantum security initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Collaborate with hardware teams to scale quantum processors to 1000+ qubits
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years experience with quantum circuit simulation tools (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Expertise in topological quantum error correction codes
- Published work in quantum machine learning or cryptography
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with quantum libraries
- Strong background in condensed matter physics
- Experience securing federal research grants
- Clearance for DOE/NIST collaboration preferred
