Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy protocols on 100+ qubit systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to mitigate decoherence and error correction challenges
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical frameworks for enterprise applications
- Secure $2M+ in DARPA/NSF quantum computing grants
- Mentor PhD interns in quantum information theory
- Author whitepapers on quantum-resistant cryptography standards
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent research experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in IEEE Transactions on Quantum Engineering or Nature Physics
- Expertise in quantum error correction and topological qubit architectures
- Proficiency with cloud quantum platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex probability theory
- Security clearance eligibility preferred for government contracts
