Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical 2026-era applications
- Lead experimental quantum hardware optimization projects with 100+ qubit systems
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop quantum-classical hybrid computing frameworks
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patent applications for quantum innovations
- Mentor junior researchers and oversee PhD-level research initiatives
- Secure and manage $1M+ in annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Present findings at premier quantum computing conferences (QIP, IEEE Quantum Week)
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years postdoc experience
- Published research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, PRL) on quantum algorithms
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Track record of securing federal research grants
- Strong background in superconducting qubit systems or photonic quantum computing
- Experience with high-performance computing environments (HPC, cloud quantum simulators)
