Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to prototype quantum processors and mitigate decoherence effects
- Lead research initiatives in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing architectures
- Develop quantum software frameworks and APIs for commercial and academic applications
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at international conferences
- Secure research funding through NSF and DARPA grant applications
- Mentor junior researchers and supervise graduate student projects
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field with 3+ years of postdoctoral research
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Q#, Cirq) and quantum circuit optimization
- Published record in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, PRL) on quantum computing topics
- Proficiency in high-performance computing environments and quantum simulation tools
- Strong background in linear algebra, statistical mechanics, and computational complexity
- Demonstrated experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
