Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems in machine learning and cryptography
- Develop error-correction protocols for scalable quantum processors
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims using superconducting qubits
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Publish findings in Nature Physics/Science and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Secure $2M+ in NSF/DoE grants for quantum research initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum circuit design (Qiskit/Cirq)
- Published research in top-tier journals on quantum error correction
- Expertise in tensor network simulations for quantum many-body systems
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with high-performance computing frameworks
- Deep understanding of topological quantum computing architectures
