Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop quantum-resistant cryptographic protocols for next-gen security infrastructure
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams in prototyping quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at IEEE Quantum Week
- Collaborate with hardware teams to mitigate decoherence and error correction challenges
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (postdoc preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit design
- Published research in quantum algorithms or error correction (arXiv/IEEE)
- Expertise in quantum machine learning and variational quantum eigensolvers
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics and linear algebra principles
- Track record of securing federal research funding
