Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead research in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into practical quantum processors
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure $2M+ in government and private research grants annually
- Mentor PhD candidates and junior researchers in quantum computing methodologies
- Develop IP portfolios for 2026 quantum computing commercialization pathways
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum computing specialization
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Published research in quantum information theory or quantum algorithms
- Expertise in quantum error correction and decoherence mitigation techniques
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and computational theory
- Proven track record of securing research funding from NSF, DOE, or DARPA
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
