Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems in machine learning and cryptography
- Lead experimental research on topological qubit stabilization and error correction protocols
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop quantum-classical hybrid computing architectures
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals and present at international conferences
- Secure $5M+ in government and private research grants for quantum initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates and lead cross-functional teams of 10+ scientists
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record of publishing in top-tier quantum computing publications
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit) and simulation frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience with superconducting qubit manipulation and cryogenic systems
- Strong background in complex algorithm design and high-performance computing
- Ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical engineering solutions
