Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum systems on superconducting and photonic platforms
- Develop error mitigation techniques to enhance quantum computational fidelity
- Author high-impact publications in leading scientific journals and present at international conferences
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate theoretical breakthroughs into practical solutions
- Secure research funding through NSF, DARPA, and private sector partnerships
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum computing education initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years postdoctoral experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and quantum circuit optimization
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science journals or equivalent high-impact venues
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction, fault tolerance, and decoherence mitigation
- Proficiency in classical computing frameworks (Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch) for hybrid quantum-classical systems
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ) or equivalent
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
